The description (man cannot accept son's mental retardation) and Hunt's other books (omg The Lottery Rose) made me think that this might end up being a gratuitously depressing book, but lo and behold, it wasn't!     2. This book is one that I really love because it shows that everybody is equal, even people that is like Jeremy, or me. Jeremy had little oxygen when he was born. He sometimes stutters, cannot say his th's and is scared of his father. I mean really scared of his father. People tease him so much, and he endured punches and kicks and mental abuse.     3. I found this at the library and am not sure it's in print anymore. But it's wonderful and I highly recommend it. Comforting, heartbreaking, about love and redemption and forgiveness. Lovely book.
