    1. Boys who rocked the world is about guys who did something important to the world that made the world better or bad. I give this book a 9 out of 10 because it tells information about people. I recommend this book to people who need information and who like this author .

    2. The Boys who Rocked the World by Michelle Roehm McCann was such a great book. It is about beys/men that did a great contribution to society. It is a biography book that states every great thing they did for example the biography about Pele i learned so many things. It is also useful if you are doing or researching for biography. I recommend this book to anyone that likes to learn things or that likes biography.

    3. I went looking for Boys who Rocked the World by Michelle McCann after I read Girls who Rocked the World. This review is very similar. There are 46 stories of boys who have made a significant impact in lots of different fields. The wide variety of locations, historical settings and backgrounds makes for a smorgasbord of experiences. Like the girls, all the boys had to overcome obstacles, whether they were prejudices, poverty, lack of education or family expectations. They all showed amazing determ [...]

    4. McCann, M.R. (2008). Boys who rocked the world. New York, NY: Aladdin.Target Audience: Grades 5-8 Boys Who Rocked the World describes the amazing lives of 46 men who have truly changed the world. It briefly snapshots the climb each of these gentlemen had to take in order to achieve their goals. Regardless of their difficulties, people like Stevie Wonder and Nelson Mandela have blessed the world with their talents. This book is an excellent resource for boys to provide them with role models to loo [...]

    5. Love the concept. Love the variety of leaders represented -- from a variety of places and in a variety of fields. Love that each of the men is evoked in their youth to help young boys (or any children) see themselves in these important guys. Love the inclusion of modern boys's ideas of how they want to rock the world. Learned a lot. My ambivalence has more to do with my love of ongoing story than with the book itself. It didn't hold the kids' interest as well as many books we've read together, e [...]

    6. This book has famous men from the beginning of time to today. Everything from scientists and presidents to recording artists and actors, this book has it all. Each person mentioned has two to six pages discussing their lives and how they went about achieving their dreams. I think it is great for kids to learn about people who followed their drema and I love the little boxes of “How Will You Rock The World?” where kids put how they plan to make a difference. I love the idea of this book and I [...]

    7. ARC received from GoodReads! Thanks, GoodReads. One of the best facets of this book is that covers a wide breadth of men. I was very pleased to see that men from many different racial/ethnic backgrounds were included. I also enjoyed that they considered many types of accomplishments - from political and scientific to rock and roll stars - as well as professions not typically considered "manly" such as hair stylist and shoe designer. In this way, it will help young readers to expand their notion o [...]

    8. I received this book as a giveaway. I really enjoyed this book. I never liked history growing up and it might have been partly because my teachers were so boring and made history boring. But I really enjoyed this book. I learned things about these select men I had no clue. It was great to see such a wide variety of men with so many different backgrounds. While reading this book in the car one night, I found myself reading it out loud to my husband. I didn't know Stevie Wonder lost his eyesight [...]

    9. Wow, what a terrific book! As a Junior High teacher it is often difficult to find non-fiction books that are well written and will capture the interest of young teenage readers. This book succeeds in both areas. Even reluctant readers will be willing to read about the lives of these boys/men as each entry is only one or two pages long. I also enjoyed the quick paragraphs about ordinary boys who are not afraid to dream big. A big thank-you to for choosing me to receive an ARC copy of this wonder [...]

    10. The strength of this book is that it provides some short biographies of significant figures, such as Nelson Mandela and Bill Gates. Many of the subjects are not, in my view, "heroes" (Vidal Sassoon? Elvis Presley? Tony Hawk?), but we only read the chapter-length biographies that were were interested in for school.

    11. This inspiring book features a diverse group of movers and shakers who rocked the world. Young men will be motivated by role models who have proven that you can do whatever you dream if you work hard. (reviewer #5)

    12. This is SUCH an awesome book!I love all the stories, and all the side bits of information. This is nonfiction in a VERY exciting way!Check this out and read it with boys and girls who rock your world!

    13. There may be a target group for this book, but it can be inspirational for anyone reading it. Look at what these boys did. I especially liked the one about Jesse Owens.

    14. Boys who Rocked the world, I thought, was OK. It did give lots of information, and it did do well listing the most important part, but did it felt long to read. Overall pretty good.

    15. I really like that the beginning of each chapter of the book is told in story form, and not just in a boring, "Bruce Lee was born in China. He was" You know? I LOVED THIS BOOK.

    16. An excellent source of information about the lives of different people who changed the world in their own varied ways.
