    1. Vikings, dragons, zombies, a magical sword: it’s easy to see why YA audiences will love John C. Archer’s debut novel, PETER WILSON’S DREAM THEATER: THE DREAM MASTER. The book tells the story of 15-year-old Peter Wilson, the Hermione Grainger of Walter Brooks’ literature class at Clovis High. After reading Beowulf, Peter dreams about Vikings. It’s “a really good dream,” Peter decides, but that’s all —until he happens across the Dream Trekker X-5000 in shop in Chinatown. The Drea [...]

    2. I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. Peter Wilson's Dream Theater is a great adventure story for young teens. The book follows high school freshman Peter Wilson as he learns to control his dreams through lucid dreaming and go on adventures in a Walter Mitty type way. In this first of the books (I think more are planned) he travels in his dream theater as a Viking to rescue a kidnapped princess. The book is well written and though I thought it too young for most adu [...]

    3. A well written Viking/Fantasy adventure story. The bulk of the narrative takes place within the dream world of Peter Wilson. Although, the tale develops slowly as the author appears to lay a foundation to explain the science (and fictional aspects) of lucid dreaming, the story soon moves at a rapid pace. I would recommend this book to anyone.

    4. I received this book through first reads. This was my first Viking book and it was a great introduction. I enjoyed the descriptions of that time, and I also enjoyed all the action. This is a quick read I kept me on the edge of my seat wanting more. It's filled with plenty of magic, and vivid battle scenes. It's a great book if you enjoy history.I really hope the author turns it into a series!

    5. Great storytelling! Gripping adventure. Not a single boring moment and definitely an enjoyable read to pass a rainy day!
