    1. This is a wonderfully and lovingly written novel that resonates in so many different parts of the heart and mind. You will feel the distance between yourself and the main characters growing ever smaller thanks to a gripping story, and you will rediscover so many sensory and emotional milestones that mark the way along the twisting path from machine to human. You will come away with a refreshed perspective on the tiny wonders of even the most ordinary day. This is a sort of “Remembrance of Thin [...]

    2. Ohmygod that was absolutely amazing!! i love love loved it. This book made me go through a huge roller coaster of many emotions that took my breath away and left me hanging at the edge of my seat. I honestly can't wait for the sequel. Waiting for the day this book becomes a movie, Mrs. Grant;)

    3. Luv, Luv, Luv! This book is (besides visually stunning as well) beautifully written with words that extend beyond the pages :) Keep writing, Ms. Grant, I can't wait for the sequel~

    4. Being Human offers a very interesting take on the whole idea of cyborgs becoming, well, human. While the novel has a few, common first novel lulls in the pacing or the briefest of moments were I had to re-read a line or two, the overarching story, heart of the characters, and realness of the near-future world crafted by Grant more than make up for it. I would say common to many robotic films or books that focus more on feeling than superhuman ability, the story has a slow steady start. It eases [...]

    5. A heartfelt, fascinating exploration of a near future where the line between humans and machines becomes increasingly blurry. I really enjoyed reading about Alek and Bean, as they grow up together and learn to navigate a complicated world.

    6. 4.5 StarsI recived this book free for review from First Reads.I was so excited when I saw I had one this book. I thought it sounded amazing and I wanted it lol. I was not disappointed. Being Human is an awesome coming of age/ becoming a human tale. I loved the relationships that were formed in this novel and I was actually almost crying because the writing was so beautiful and describe things perfectly. The only reason this book didn't get a perfect score from me was I didn't really connect to [...]
