    3. I really enjoyed this novel by Ms. Waite. I was hooked on it from the very first page and it held my attention until the very last word. I found this to be a well written book with the descriptions that just seems to leap off of the pages. I felt like I was reading a Sandra Brown novel.Even though the main characters are mostly teenagers, with adults in supporting roles, this does not read like a YA. The main Character is Cassandra Rhyne, a 17 year old girl gifted with second sight.Her Fathers body is found in the bayou and is determined an accidental death. However the mists tell Cassie that he was murdered. No one believes her when she tells the sheriff and her mom.     5. An okay readPacing was a bit slow. Just didn't draw me in. Found myself skimming. I did like a the bits of storyline with Derrick. He was my fave character.Clean read that teens would enjoy.

    6. If you have never been to the Bayou's of Mississippi then let Mists of Bayou Rhyne take you there. This book grabs your attention and demands that you keep reading. The troubles that Cassie finds herself dealing with throughout the book make it something that is easy for many to relate to. The suspense intertwined with the blossoming romance of Cassie and Derrick will make you glad that you started this journey with them.
