    1. You in My Arms made a valiant effort. This is Cinderella for the modern age. Jason who just turned 22 is an overworked virgin who is raising his 4 year old sister after the deaths of his father and step mother. Jason has wonderful set of friends and they take him to a gay club to celebrate. Bobby his closest friend notices a good looking man at the a bar and tries to set them up for sex.Zach is 32 and part owner of the bar and doesn't do relationships. His attempts with Jason are shot down. He d [...]

    2. When I read the blurb for You In My Arms, I got a Cinderfella feel of sorts, and requested the book from its publisher for review. My thanks to MLR Press for providing a copy of the book. While the plot/story itself was nice enough, and the two MCs were quite likable, the book was, for the most parts, all tell and no show. The dialogue runs on an on, punctuation seems optional, and it's full of edit-fail. I don't know whether the author refused to make changes to the manuscript, or if the editor [...]

    3. 2.75 starsI love kids, and tragedy together. I honestly liked the characters. Of course we had a crude guy who didn't do relationships, because hey that's what appeals to people. I knew right off the back his tune was going to change once he met the right person. I think it has the potential to be a 4 star book if the author went in with a red pen and crossed out most of the communication between the two. On my goodness, these people TALKED to damn much. It was so scattered brain between everyon [...]

    4. The monologues. It was those darn unexpected monologues that ruined what could have been a perfectly good book. Thankfully it was short.

    5. Jason has been taking care of his baby sister Kitty since his parents died. He left school and now works two jobs just to try to make ends meet. With the help of friends he has been able to. On his twenty-second birthday his straight friends all take him to the Sunset Club a gay club. There he meets the owner Zach. Zach has wants to get into Jason pants for a one-night stand. However once he learns the life Jason leads he offers him a job at his club and friendship instead.Jason is so damn sweet [...]

    6. FourStarsThis is a very sweet story about families. The families we’re born into and the ones we make ourselves. In the first installment of the Sunset Club series, Katt introduces a cast of complicated, intriguing characters. Her leading men, Jason and Zach are both gorgeous. It is impossible not to love the young, beautiful Jason, buckling under the weight of his responsibilities. And everyone has dreamed of a man like Zach stepping in and making life that little bit easier. The supporting cha [...]

    7. wow, this was not worth the money I spent. i am all for that modern cinderella save the day feel good kind of book but, Jeeez-US on a friggin stick I never read a book where the characters gave long winded answers, random answers to questions that were never asked, good gaawwd the repetitiveness of "im poor I have serious responsibilities!!!" none of this came off as remotely believable. the chemistry between the two MC'S was nowhere in sight it felt like it just floated in out of nowhere. One m [...]

    8. Well, this is a step back again from the more recently published book by this author that I read before.Characters are monologuing at each other relentlessly, and the time skips and transitions feel particularly jarring. It’s all just speechy exposition and info dumps. Any action (including the sex scenes) reads about as emotionally stimulating as a police report. But, eh, despite toppy guy being a bit of a jerk initially, at least he is no wannabe dominant, drunk on his power. Even so, things [...]

    9. I really like the overall story and plot, and I liked the characters very much. My only problem was the writing. I wasn't a big fan of how the POV of the characters were written because I got confused sometimes on who was talking and when, thus the 3 star rating. I was also bummed out because of the price I paid for this, as I don't think it was really worth it overall in the end =(. But I was able to get past that inkling, and like I stated before, In the end, I did like this book and I can't w [...]

    10. My favorite genre is mm books with children and this was really good. The characters were wonderful and the story was very loving. Jason was such an exceptionally great character who would do absolutely anything for his sister after the death of his dad and stepmom. He was struggling working multiple jobs trying to provide for Kitty, but meeting Zach couldn't have come at a more perfect time. I would have given this book more stars, but I didn't think the story was worth paying $6.99 for, it was [...]

    11. Great storyAnother great start to a series by this Author. There was some crossover with characters from the Indiscreet series. In this story Zach and Jason are perfect for each other. Jason is young, but the sole provider for his baby sister. He meets Zach at the club his friends take him to for his birthday. Zach doesn't do relationships but something about Jason pulls at him and they become friends, which then turns to love. Well written storyline, characters we will come to loveI really enjo [...]

    12. Zach uses a terrible pick up line in all of history. Jason knows that isn't what he's looking for. But suddenly Zach is taking a whole new tack in his life. He and Jason build a friendship but they finally come clean on their feelings. But getting together seems to be easy part. It was so much fun to see these two men build their family and make something wonderful out of their life together.

    13. Entertaining, but could have been better executed. Everything was there for a really good book, but the author tended to get carried away with describing things that really didn't add anything to the story. Despite that, I really did enjoy the book and plan to read the next in the series. 3.75 ⭐️

    14. Nice story, but not worth the price I paid for it Didn't anyone proof read or edit this book? I feel like I paid top dollar to read the first draft. But all in all, was a good story with great characters.

    15. A twist on a few fairy tales, where the evil stepmother turns out to be the evil parents! Where Jason has always been the adult and worked hard. He has a solid support system of people who love him and have his back, and his and his sisters lives change 100% when he meets Zac. I enjoyed this book.

    16. I enjoyed this book and I waited a long time to read this series. I ended up buying and binge reading all of them over the course of a day.

    17. AwesomeAwesome story, first in the series! I can't wait to start the next one! A+++ story, awesome happily ever after ending!
