    1. This is a perfect story to pass some time cuddled up in your favorite cozy reading spot with a hot cup of tea. While the outcome of the story was predictable, with its fair share of corny clichés, it was well-written, experienced and heart-warming.

    2. Thank You Angelica Kate for the signed book. I did enjoy the story very much.Emily and her twin four year old children were escaping a terribly abusive situation with the help of Jenna. Jenna sent them to her brother Travis' cabin so Emily's husband couldn't find them and hurt them again. Travis was headed to his cabin for some quiet time from everyone and everything. but got a big surprise when he got there. Travis lost his wife and daughter in a car accident years earlier and never really reco [...]

    3. Emily, escaping from an abusive ex-husband with help from a social worker friend, Jenna, is trudging through a few miles of snow with twin four-year-olds to reach an isolated cabin. However, Jenna’s brother, Travis, who is still in a depressive state over the death of his wife and daughter four years ago in a tragic accident, is also on his way to the family cabin to find isolation over the holidays. When he discovers Emily and her children at the cabin, her story and submissive behavior awake [...]

    4. MehI finally finished it. my opinions didn't really change. I didn't really like it, it was predictable and pretty slow. I had a truly hard time getting the motivation to finish it after around sixty pages in. I think the idea is cute. The delivery was not quite there, however. And by that i mean that I felt like there was a lot more that could have been done with this story that the author neglected. Don't be afraid to add a few legitimate love scenes to a romance novel. I feel like the author [...]

    5. I really debated between rating this 3 or 4 stars. Ideally, I would rate it 3.5 stars.I read this book in one sitting. It was a short and easy read. I like the idea that the book presents, and I was rooting for the characters the whole time. My one big dislike is that there are quite a few editing errors, especially between masculine/feminine pronouns. It was a little frustrating, but I was able to move past it.All in all, it was a nice story with a romantic tension you want to root for. I would [...]

    6. This is a great romance story but it is more than that, it is also a story of a woman, Emily, a her attempt to rebuild a life after her and her children are involved in an abusive relationship. When Jenna lets Emily and her twins, Sam and Sarah, borrow her brother's cabin to get away, Travis appears and the story begins. Other than what felt like a bit of a rushed ending, I loved this story. The author does a great job as a story teller and readers will love the way she lays out a story. I am lo [...]

    7. I love this story! Part romance and part a strong woman helping herself. I love that Emily counted on herself first and then accepted help from friends. The twins are as sweet as they can be! I love the happily ever after where everyone stands on their own feet and then find love and acceptance. I was happy that the bad guys were dealt with in an appropriate way. As you can see it is easy to become invested. Sweet story - lovely happily ever after. A good read.

    8. I won this signed book in a giveaway. This sweet and satisfying, albeit fairly predictable. tale of guts and determination, perseverance and romance manages to tie all loose ends while giving all characters their just rewards. My only complaint would be that the author handles the main character's abuse and her abuser in a most cursory way, getting him out of the picture far more easily and quickly than typically happens in real life. Most abused women leave their abusers more than half a dozen [...]

    9. I won this book in a giveaway.I really liked the concept of this book and the story behind it. For me, this story is actually relate-able to me - but from the twin's POV. Speaking of the twins, I thought both there characters were adorable and were very imaginative. My only gripe on this book would have to be that every time you turned the page, it was kind of predictable. A few surprises or twist couldn't hurt, and same with romance. Overall, this is a good light read for most readers. Thank yo [...]

    10. JUST GOT DONE READING THE BOOK CALLED CALM BEFORE THE STORM BY AUTHOR ANGELIC KATE. I GOT THIS BOOK FROM FRIST READ. THIS WAS A EASY BOOK TO READ IN FACT I FELT I WAS IN THE EPISODE OF THE BOOK.ONCE THE BOOK TOOK OFF I COULDN'T PUT THE BOOK DOWN I DIDN'T WANT THE BOOK TO BE OVER.I WOULD HAVE TO GIVE THIS A 5 STAR RATING THAT'S HOW GOOD THE BOOK WAS. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK FRIST READ AND TO THE AUTHOR ANGELICA KATE FOR THE BOOK. CAN'T WAIT TO READ MORE FROM THE AUTHOR ANGELICA KATE.

    11. I won this book in a giveaway. I liked the book and the story behind it. I liked how the woman stood up for herself and was willing to do what it takes for her and her children. I wish the book would've had a little more detail and continued on a little at the ending.

    12. Calm Before The StormBook starts out with Travis and he's on his way to the family cabin with his wood projects. He hopes to stay there so he won't have to celebrate the Christmas Holiday. Several years ago at this time his wife and daughter were killed by a drunk driver.Emily is an abused mother of twins and Sarah has lent her the cabin til her court date in Jan. They all get along with her tending to the kids during the day and cooking and cleaning and he stays out of their way by working in t [...]

    13. Emily and her 4 year old twins are running from her abusive boyfriend. Her friend Jenna has loaned her the use of the family cabin to hide out until she is due in court for a custody hearing. Travis is Jenna's brother and he has gone to the cabin to get away from all the holiday preparations, since his wife and daughter were killed 4 years ago he likes the solitude of the cabin at holiday time.

    14. I received this book for free through First Reads.I thought it was a pretty good book. Little bit of drama and suspense (very little) but mostly romance and drama. A different type of read for me but a good light read. One thing that did get me was the frequent typos, misspellings or duplicate words throughout the book.
