    1. Ashley Fontainne and Lillian Hansen’s Blood Ties has a level of creepiness and reality that will linger long after you have finished reading the novel. The mother and daughter writing team continues into the characters of the story with Karina and her mother, LiAnn.Karina, a private investigator for We’ve Got Ya, and LiAnn, a cop, had become sickened after their last case, that dealt with the abuse of senior citizens in assisted living facilities and quit their jobs. Now, it was off to Grand [...]

    2. I have loved every book I've read or listened to by Ashley Fontainne and while this was really good, it wasn't my favourite one of hers. All of her other books had a uniqueness to them that was mesmerising, but I just found this to be a little predictable. Now don't get me wrong, I still flew through it, I just didn't love it. Anyway, character wise we have mother and daughter LiAnn and Karina whom are moving back to look after LiAnns parents. While there, they agree to look into some happenings [...]

    3. 3.5 starsBoy this one starts out gruesome and ended with a bang! LiAnn Tuck and her daughter, Karina Summers are moving to the country from the big city of Los Angeles. LiAnn is worried about her aging parents and both mother and daughter are in need of a new place to start over. While there Karina meets her a nice country man though for one who is not sure about starting a relationship has no problems steaming things up. Even LiAnn goes on a date but her mind is on a former boyfriend. Then they f [...]

    4. The mother/daughter writing team of Ashley Fontainne and Lillian Hansen have created another bad-ass mother/daughter team. This time, it is Karina, a private investigator and LiAnn, a police officer with the LAPD. When they become involved in a senior living center case that exemplifies the worst in humanity, they both realize they need to get away from the memories and move to Arkansas, where LiAnn's parents liveWhile adjusting to their bucolic new surroundings, and some budding new romances, t [...]

    6. Fantastic read, I had to finish it, my alarm went off at 6, now 640, will barely make it to workTotally can't put down story, characters (whether slime balls or hero's) are ones u can relate to.Am going to look for more stories by this author

    7. Couldn't keep my interest.I didn't care for this book It didn't keep my interest and I didn't care for the characters or plot. Sorry to be so negative but I won't read this author again

    8. Not to my liking.I tried to read this book but after I found myself fast forwarding through the constant "F" language and the explicit sex, it just wasn't worth my time. I am deleting it.

    9. Wasn'u Slick willie ftrom Hot Springs,Ar?Only in Arkansas could this story line fit! Great story . lots of fast action. Well written and it kept your interest! Good read!! I enjoyed it!!

    10. Love this book!Great characters. Bad guys are really bad . plot complicated but complexly believable. I stayed up far too late finishing this book!

    11. Blood TiesI was hooked the first time I met Karina and her mom. I love strong characters that have big hearts. The extreme action was a huge bonus.

    12. Great ReadPlenty of action; I couldn't put it down. Loved the interaction between the various characters and the twists and turns.

    13. LiAnn Tuck, retired detective, and her daughter Karina Summers, along with the dog Ranger, are moving from sunny California to Sheridan, Arkansas. There, they move in with LiAnn’s parents (Ruth and Junior) to help keep up the small farm and care for them. It’s a much slower pace and they have lots to learn. Both ladies are accomplished in their careers and both had to leave broken-hearted affairs in California.Meanwhile, the Mob has their claws in one of the local independent living retireme [...]

    15. New Ways to Make a FortuneKarina was an undercover agent who worked with a partner, Cal, who was also her boyfriend for the past eight years until she found him making love to another woman. She had a dog Ranger, who was extremely protective of her and she was moving from California to Arkansas to spend time with her grandma and grandpa. Her mother, Sgt. 17. I received this ARC to give an honest review. I have read two of this authors work and I have loved her writing style, but with this book it just felt a bit flat for me. Don't get me wrong I thought the book was very good but it just didn't hold my interest as much as her other work. The main two characters LiAnn and Karina are mother and daughter they have lived in California and both have pretty good jobs, and love lives that went down the drain. When they move to Arkansas to take care of LiAn [...]

    18. "Blood Ties" by Ashley Fontainne and Lillian Hansen is a chilling and creepy Southern gothic thriller. Having read and enjoyed all of Ashley's other wonderful novels, I've come to expect an enthralling and stellar read from this multi-talented author. This book does not disappoint. I'm not sure if it's the combination of the mother-daughter writing team, but this book seems even more twisted and diabolical than ever. And that's a good thing!LiAnn Tuck and daughter Karina Summers are moving back [...]

    19. Another great book by Ashley Fontainne! How does she do it, one hit after another with each book keeping me on the edge of my seat? This book is about a mother & Daughter moving back to Arkansas to be with family and the dangers they discover when they get there. It has a fantastic plot. There is mobsters and organ harvesting & tons of danger!!! There is so much excitement, it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole book! Sometimes life gives us more than we bargained for. I think the l [...]

    20. "'Blood Ties' is Ashley Fontainne at her evil-minded best. Since her mother, Lillian Hansen, collaborated on this book, could it be the gift is genetic? This blood-curdling book has everything: malicious and angelic characters, dastardly deeds, a spattering of humor and hefty doses of love I cringed at the insane cruelty of the leaders of the 'murderous ring' that preys on senior citizens. And I cheered when the stunning daughter/mother team from California hits Arkansas, taking it by storm. The [...]

    21. Crime, drama, action, and romance all in one book!I was given a free audiobook copy of this book in return for an honest review. This book is about a mother and daughter who retire from jobs as a detective and a cop only to find themselves accidently getting in the way of some Mob business. It's got a cute little side story of love for each of them. I cant help but love that for the daughter its an average girl with a super hot guy scenerio, its about time the roles were reversed right? The story [...]

    22. I've read at least 6 of Fontainne's books. This one was co-written, but it had the same suspenseful flavor that is so obviously hers. This one has a unique mother/daughter relationship (the good guys) and some hot love scenes mixed with the typical psychotic killers and suspenseful outcome. The setting using old folks' homes and an organized crime ring made for a unique plot. The mother/daughter team can't seem to escape their crime-fighting ways even as they attempt to get away from it all and [...]

    23. I liked this book for the most part.I had a hard time liking any of the characters. Liann and Karina ,an ex cop and ex detective move from California to Arkansas to help the grandparents on their far. They are also trying to forget a bad case they worked on pertaining to housing for Senior citizens. They leave men behind and find interested men in their new world.Things go bad when they visit their old friend at a senior housing apartment. There is way more going on than just stealing residents cas [...]

    24. Karina and her mom LiAnne leave LA both with a broken heart and worn out from their jobs. Ironically what they thought was left behind rears its’ ugly head and soon their lives and friends and family lives are in danger.Ashley and Lillian have written a powerful story involving the mob and to what lengths they would go to make money. She weaves a thriller and love story seamlessly; something for everyone.Their characters are living, breathing people and the places she sets them in so real you [...]

    25. Southern Gothic horror thriller. Not my preferred style, but if it is yours, you will be riveted. The publisher's blurb is semi-adequate, and personally, I don't care for spoilers in a review. The writing is solid, the mystery aspect is good, and all flows along seamlessly and well. For me, it was the narrator whose audio personifications really made the difference. A Southern drawl, but not the excessively slow cadence that just doesn't work well in an audiobook, nor the elides that can be diffi [...]

    26. Ashley Fontainne and Lillian Hansen’s Blood Ties is a complex character study as well as a mystery / thriller. Liann, a cop, and her daughter Karina, a private investigator, travel to the south to help Liann's parents in Arkansas. They both have plenty of baggage that arrives with them. I don't want to give the plot away, but there is romance, new friends, scams, and fire. I've never read anything these authors have written before , but I would definitely read their books in the future. I high [...]

    27. ** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **Karina is a detective and her mom Liann is a retired police womaney move south form Ca to help her grandparents.while there a friend of theirs in a retirement home needs help and they decide to investigatewell they uncover a whole mob conspiracy that almost ends up deadly for them alle narration is awesome and I loved it! I will continue this series and recommend it highly!!!Thank you Audiobookblast(dot)com

    28. If you're looking for a book to keep you up at night, this will do it. There are several characters' POV, good guys, bad guys, and somewhere in between. They are all interesting to read. The pieces of the puzzle come slowly together but when you finally see the big picture, it is chilling. This is loaded with suspense and some truly evil bad guys. There are lighter moments as well. I loved the interaction between Karina and LiAnn. There is even a bit of romance. I couldn't put this down.
