    1. I need the next book, like now This was a short entertaining read and I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm not sure what to expect of this plot twist but I'm sure of one thing: I'm hooked to this story and its characters. I always like a good romance in an apocalyptic world.

    2. This book was sooo amazing! It was like watching an episode of my favorite TV show "The Walking Dead" only with a lot of hot sex, a lot more sex! God if ever I was going to be found in a zombie apocalypse I'd want to have a hot ex-army mercenary men at my back too! Especially if there was one as sexy as Blake Miller. Blake was one delicious alpha male. He was dominate, rough, tender, and oh so mysterious. The chemistry between him and Alexis was wow off the chart intense. These two hit it off wo [...]

    3. This review was originally posted at The Book Nympho Run is an Erotic Romance by Gillian Zane with a zombie apocalypse in NOLA for it's back drop. Don't go in thinking you're getting a horror story. Although there are a couple of scenes that might be hard on a few to read, especially if you're not a fan of baby zombies. Run has just enough action and blood to keep your pulse pumping when it's slowed down from the steamy scenes between Alexis and Blake (if the boats a rocking, don't come a knocki [...]

    4. badbirdreads/review-run-by4.5 starsAt A GlanceI am obsessed and I don’t even know why!The GoodWow, a lot happens in this novella. I didn’t feel gipped like I usually do with novellas, though I was left dying to read the next book. I was on so fast to see when book #2 comes out, which is in July. Yay!So, we get zombie-goodness, humping-goodness, and gore-goodness. Some of my fav things in a book.

    5. This was a really short read, but a great one. Lots of great characters and tons of action. Zombie books are such great reads! I need to start the next one immediatelywhat a cliffhanger!

    6. Well. This book is definitely not rocket science, but it wasn't bad. Took probably around an hr to read. Maybe less. Lots of sex. Decent plot. kinda rushed. I will check out the rest of the series, just because I gotta know what happens next.

    7. GENRE: ApocalypticTHEME: Zombie, Romance, EroticaRECEIVED: TourBLOG: seeingnight/REVIEW: I’m a fan of The Walking Dead and couldn’t wait to dig into Run, where its just the start of a “zombie” like virus spreading. Gillian Zane created a short but smoking hot and intensely scary story that is only just the beginning.Run follows Alexis Winters who trying to escape her office and get back home. Why you ask? Well a virus has broken out and has infected people like a zombie outbreak. Alexis [...]

    8. Hum, a zombie book with personality and enough sex to get a convent prego by proximity I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I immediately like Lex's personality. She's sarcastic, smart, capable chick but she's just girly and unsure enough for readers not to envision Rhonda Rousey as they're reading. She meets ex military man Blake. Spark fly. Survival together is easier than alone. Ye might die in an hour. You're as safe as possible in the moment So why not slut it up with the hot guy, righ [...]

    9. First in series and first read by this authorOk so think your typical zombie aplocalipse movie and at a whole lot of sex. like a lot! Wham bam kinda style was a bit much at times and actually did distract from what is quite an original story and concept for a book. Now I am NOT a prude but the sex was at time just a bit unnecessary and I was left wanting for more story. at time a little unbelievable ( meets guy she doesn’t know and withing a few hours is boinking him. zombies all around us got [...]

    10. Review originally published at Love Literature Art and Reason book review blog.Run is the first book in the NOLA Zombie series and it began with Alexis at work when she realized something was definitely going down. She was a bit of a prepper, so she knew she had to get home and get her supplies to deal with whatever strange thing was happening. She ran into Blake, a former military guy who had a plan of his own. They had one major thing in commons: the will to survive. So they teamed up and real [...]

    11. *I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and all opinions within this review are my own. *The zombie action starts immediately with Alexis running for her life from Rick, a coworker at her office building who has been infected. While trying to find a way back to her house, through the hoards of idiots and the infected, she runs into Blake. Blake is very to the point and so they both set off for Alexis' house to get her supplies and her dog. Over the next few days they are [...]

    12. Alexis knew it was only a matter of time before the zombie outbreak, and after her experience with hurricane Katrina, she won't be caught unprepared again. She's become a prepper, stockpiling at her house, keeps a bag in the car, and even trained her dog German. She's spent lots of time on the forums, learning and prepping for the future upcoming zombie apocalypse. Of course, when it happens she's at work at least it's the weekend and not a full office. Armed with an ax she makes it out of the b [...]

    13. Gillian Zane I'm giving you a standing ovation right now for this debut novella! It was FABULOUS!!RUN is the first in the NOLA Zombie series and this darn novella was so good that I devoured it in record time, I could not put it down. This story is chalked full of action, suspense, drama, some majorly HOT Alpha Males and quite honestly the story line was so different from what I was expecting I loved every single word. Alexis and Blake are the two main characters in our series and things heat up [...]

    14. Check out this review and others atTwinsietalkFacebook/TwinsietalkTsu/TwinsietalkTwitter/TwinsietalkI recevied an copy from the author for an honest review.AHHHH>>>>I am dying!! I need more!! I love and hate cliffy books and this one leaves you with a big cliffy. If you hate the cliffy books then you are not gonna like the endingLOLIf you like zombie books or zombie movies then this book will make your heart sing!! Its about newbie prepper Alexis who runs into Hottie Ex-Military man [...]

    15. This was a very fast paced book and it is also probably a good representation of what would happen in a zombie apocalypse. Blake and Lexi have instant chemistry and they work well together. Lexi is not like any main female character that I’ve seen yet. She is definitely one a kind. She was stranded during Katrina with her parents and in turn has started stockpiling supplies in case something similar happens so she is not a damsel in distress when all of the zombie mess breaks out. Blake is a [...]

    16. This book felt almost like a New Adult Zombie Romance and when reading it I thought, "Hunh, zombies and sex scenes, what an odd combination." But it really worked. Maybe because it's all primal; primal urges and the need to survive. I also felt it was a great backdrop for a romance, because maybe it takes away a saccharine edge to the proceedings? Who knows, it works.I liked Lex, she makes me want to fill my closet with doomsday survival supplies. I also liked the way her relationship progresse [...]

    17. First, I didn't really get that far in this book. The female meets up with the guy and find a boat to escape, then promptly have sex, described in graphic detail, which really doesn't bother me at all. I just got the impression this was going to be the book. I want action, adventure and romance with my sex and zombies. I may return to it later but there are a lot of books to read that give me more what I'm looking for.

    18. Don't read this for the zombies, you'll be disappointed.I liked this book but I found myself skimming over pages, just to get past the marathon sex. I'm still going to try the next book. I've gotta see where this is goingA summary of my thoughts:Alexis is great! Blake is soooo annoying. Seriously intrigued by Zach. Needed more zombies. Loved the New Orleans setting.

    19. Why do I need a headline?Guilty pleasure. That's what this was. Like junk food that tastes so good and quells a craving but doesn't actually satisfy. And I can't wait for the next book.

    20. Fast paced. Gets right to the point. This author isn't messing around! 4 stars for the apocalypse! And what the hell was that ending? Like way to do a 360 jeesh! Starting the next one.

    21. This story is about the zombie apocalypse with erotica thrown in! Good zombie story! I skipped most of the sex scenes! Ends in a cliffhanger!

    22. Loved it! Would have loved it to be longer, butx and zombies! how can you go wrong?:) Glad I had book 2 on hand.

    23. I am glad that I waited till all the books were out.I am not a fan of cliffhangers.

    24. Zombies are just not my thing and stories of people meeting, hooking up and fighting during zombies just didn't work for me. I'm sure other love this but I'm not one of them.

    25. At the start of the novella, I liked Alexis's character. She was friendly and capable and had been prepping for a major disaster/the apocalypse. But the story went downhill after she met Blake. I can understand why Alexis had sex on the houseboat with him the day she met him. Possible end of of the world, adrenaline rush from killing zombies, (hot guy!), even if I didn't like the sex scene itself. In addition to that, they had sex two more times that night. It was boring. I almost stopped readin [...]

    26. Blood, sex, gore, and guns are the main themes of this book. Not for the prudish or faint of heart! While I feel that there is an overabundance of sex scenes that could have been left out to leave room for a bit more storyline, I was impressed by the intense imagery of those scenes. Gillian Zane does a great job of portraying what I feel (as a native of the New Orleans area) would happen if we did have a zombie outbreak. I feel the prepper aspect wasn't overdone and is more like those of us who [...]

    27. Read get from the start I was laughing. Being my first book by this author I was hoping I would love her writing style and I did. I'm a huge fan of zombies so this hit the spot. Alexis was awesome. She didn't shy away and kept her resolve with everything (zombies). Blake was hot and had a good head on his shoulder. The heat in this book was off the chart. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next. The author did an awesome job at world building and I can't wait to continue on this adventur [...]
