    1. I really enjoyed this book. I'm a big animal lover and I loved that the reason Jamie and Nick meet is because Jamie trains service dogs and DEA agent Nick needs a partner of the canine variety. They had great chemistry from the first meeting and there are some really good steamy scenes. My only complaint is that Jamie pushed away Nick for a lot of the book and it took away a bit from the romance aspect of this story. There was a little bit of suspense especially towards the end that was exciting [...]

    2. A sexy adventure between two damaged hearts that don’t believe there’s love After Love but who are enjoying to flirt with the idea.Nick Archer has dedicated his life to public service. A former marine and now an undercover DEA agent he only has room for one thing, to take down the bad guys who’ll put people’s lives in danger by selling drugs. Even if he had time for a relationship he wouldn’t pursue one, not after his wife cheated on him. So when he’s forced to take on a K9 as a part [...]

    3. Jamie's a cop widow and reluctant to start a relationship with Nick despite their instant attraction, and playful banter. Nick is usually the one that wants the short and easy relationships but with Jamie being the one to set the tone, he's out of sorts when that is what she wants. All she wants. I The plot was decent. The pacing was good. Harley, Nick's new K9 partner is charming and funny :) and Grammy was THE BEST ever. Where this story lacked for me was the main characters. There was nothing [...]

    4. Please follow my blog for more reviews:alysenovakAfter a string of bad luck with his job, DEA agent Nick Archer is getting a new partner. His new partner is loyal to the cause and highly trained in sniffing out drug busts. He also likes long walks, playing tug-of-war, and licking his own. well yeaah. But he's a dog, what do you expect. Nick isn't thrilled about having a new partner, K-9 or not. But when he sees the trainer, Nick seems to be more accepting about the whole process. Jamie Chambers [...]

    5. Nick Archer doesn’t play well with others. When his status as DEA agent is threaten by his action, Nick is given a choice take on a partner or be gone. The clincher, it is not your average partner his boss wants him to take on but a K-9.Jamie Chambers is a K-9 specialist. When Nick meets Jamie he isn’t minding spending some training time with her. But the more he gets to know her the harder is it for her to stay behind the line Nick will never cross, the line to having a real relationship wi [...]

    6. 3 starsOverall After Love was a good read. The storyline had me turning the pages but I felt something was missing, I didn't feel the love between Jamie and Nick and while both were likable people I wasn't swept away with them either =/What I did enjoy were the scenes with Nick's Grammy/Grandmother, she was a hoot! She truly made this book so much more enjoyable for me. I also loved Harley Nick's K9 partner, he was adorable and totally loved Nick. They had a wonderful relationship and you couldn' [...]

    7. 4.5 love and you will be loved stars. If I'm completely honest, I didn't think I was going to get so into this book, but I did. The surprise was a welcomed one considering no one likes to read a book they find just okay. Nick and Jamie are some of my favorite characters read to date. Nick is a former Marine and current DEA agent. He loves his job but is a bit of a loner, refusing to have a partner. Nick has a great personality, even if he can come of as surly. He's funny and honest while being g [...]

    8. Let's just say this book didn't meet my expectation (based on the blurb). Something felt off throughout reading and I couldn't warm up to either Nick or the love interest (Jamie certainly didn't impress me at all). Theirs was a not so convincing love affairs too heavy with "it's a woman's privilege to change her mind" underlined. Added to that, I don't think the sex scenes mentioned any in the way of protection here. We're talking about barely strangers on page graphic details here. Somehow this [...]

    9. My Review:This book started out really strong with a great premise but it floundered a bit in the execution. With that being said though, I did really enjoy this first book in the series. I think with maybe a bit of a heavier hand in editing, this series could be a real winnere I do love the premise of these three law enforcement brothers. But I'm getting ahead of myselfwe're talking about this book which featured Jamie and Nick. Nick is an undercover DEA agent and a former soldier who served fo [...]

    10. ARC REVIEW After Love is the first book in Kathy Clark's Austin Heroes series it is a spin-off of her Denver Heroes series, which I loved. The main difference between the two series so far is that while Denver Heroes leaned toward a darker kind of romance Austin Heroes is lighter. It's still emotional and if you are prone to crying a good cry. This book is just as much a buddy cop story, in the ways of Turner and Hooch and K-9; yep thats right a cop and his dog. I loved this book as much as I lo [...]

    11. Reviewed by GeminiI have read several books by Kathy Clark. They were all the books in her Denver Heroes series where she focuses on three brothers in Denver; a fireman, policeman, and a paramedic. After Love is the beginning of her Austin Heroes series which focuses on one of three brothers in Austin. His name is Nick Archer and he is a lone wolf DEA agent that clears a lot of cases but tends to bend the rules and get himself into a little bit of trouble on occasion. When he thinks that he over [...]

    12. Rating 3.5 to 4 starsThis is a romantic suspense. Nick is a DEA agent. At the start of the book, he is advised by this supervisor he is getting a new partner in the form of a service dog. He heads on out to receive his animal and meets Jamie, a widow, whose husband was a cop. She is absolutely not in the market for a relationship with someone else who could die in the line of duty, but is attracted to Nick nonetheless. The feeling is mutual. They get to know each other and settle on a friends wi [...]

    13. An entertaining fun read with a bit of suspense. DEA Agent Nick Archer has a new partner. One of the K-9 persuasion. Before they can get to work they both need a little training though. Nick doesn't think training with Jamie Chambers will be too bad. Nope, not bad at all. It's a shame she doesn't want anything to do with a relationship and definitely not one with a cop. Her husband was killed in the line of duty and she won't go there again. Can Nick stay focused on his case to get the drugs tha [...]

    14. I loved the dog, Harley he made this story, he was the show stopper, "Harley waited patiently for his turn, and Nick opened the door for him. “We’ve got company tonight,” Nick whispered. “Be on your best behavior.” The dog smiled his approval. He couldn’t think of anything better than to be riding in a truck with his two favorite people." I enjoyed this book, the characters were entertaining and I fell in love with the dog.

    15. ***ARC received from NetGalley in exchange for honest review.A lot of promise but the final execution was missing something. The storyline seemed to happen too quickly from the H being a DEA agent to getting a K9 partner to falling in love with each other when the heroine spends half the story pushing the hero away. There wasn't enough development between the heroine and hero to get me invested in their relationship or for me to find it believable that they fell in love so quickly.

    16. Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.Okay, so now I really want a dog Nick had no interest in having a K9 partner until he met Harley. And let's be real for a second, I feel like that was the real love story. Don't get me wrong, I liked seeing him and Jamie come together and watching her as she dealt with falling for another LEO after her husband had been killed in the line of duty, but Harley had my heart. The plot line with the drugs was fine but a little bit involved. New chara [...]

    17. 3.5 Stars ARC kindly provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. So this one was my first book by Kathy Clark and I don't think it will be my last one either. This was such a different book from what I have been reading lately and I really enjoyed the change in pace. DEA agent Nick Archer is a riding solo sort of guy. But he seems to have hit a bit of back luck with some of his cases and now is forced to take on a K-9 partner. In hopes to prevent any more running off half cocked sting [...]

    18. After Love 4 starsNick Archer is a former Marine that currently works for the DEA in Austin trying to keep drugs off the street. His current assignment is geared towards the college crowd in the form of “Goosie’s” which is a type of cigarette that is soaked in different types of juice that gives them a fruity flavor. These cigarettes also have something added to them that will give the kids a small high that they enjoy which is why they are gaining popularity but lately kids are turning up [...]

    19. I loved this the author gives a little action, pull and tug of love, humor, family, about the arm force, DEA a few hot men and a few twists what else could you ask for. Nick is a love them and leave them kind of man who sure doesn’t like it when the shoe is on the other foot. After a nasty divorce he isn’t about to put his heart on the line again that is until he meets one hot dog trainer Jamie. He just might find he is the one being trained, run for the hill Nick before she and her dog gets [...]

    20. DEA agent Nick Archer seems to be always in trouble. He is still in hot water for taking off to Mexico on a drug bust that was not approved. Even though in his mind it was successful he really does not understand the problem. Now to make matters worse he just put a congress man’s son in cuffs thinking that they were transporting cocaine in the tuck of his car when it was actually white powder caffeine like what goes into energy drinks. Normally he would not have a problem with a mistake but wi [...]

    21. Good book, it took me a little bit to get into this book but once I got into it I was hooked. Nick & Jamie were very hot right off the bat, they kept the heat in the red zone with their no strings attached exploits. I enjoyed the adventures of Harley, Nick's new canine partner, especially the strawberry debacle in the bar. I also enjoyed Grammy, Nick's 76 yr old grandmother who didn't get past the 70's or 80's in her way of life. A former entertainer & most time hippie groupie she regale [...]

    22. Harley completely steals the scene, and the story, what a beautiful, loyal, sweetheart of a service dog! Either was it the service dogs, or a truckload of puppies, the canine world is front and center of the story, and are just adorable. The story has a fresh approach to the romantic suspense stories. A lot of focus in on the 'free time', the behind the scenes, what happens when the law enforcement is not on working on the case. Nick is broken, weary, from his demanding job, tired of the hurt of [...]

    23. Review can be read at It's About The Book4.5 starsWOW! I really liked this romantic suspense by Kathy Clark. The combination of Jamie the veterinarian and Nick the DEA agent was great, and being a native Texan, I loved the backdrop of Austin. Kathy Clark did a great job of blending the environment into the story and making it sing. The characters were original, and I’m really hoping the next two in the series let us know more about the characters we met in this book.Jamie lost her police offic [...]

    24. DEA agent/ former Marine Nick Archer isn't afraid to put his life on the line every day. The only thing he is a afraid of is commitment after his marriage fell apart. So he has trust issues, and this makes it hard for anyone to be his partner on the job. So his boss makes him get a new K-9 partner. Mans best friend right, he should be able to trust a dog for an partner, dogs are loyal. So when he meets the K-9 trainer who is stunning, he takes fast interest in her. Jamie Chambers knows trouble w [...]

    25. After Love was a nice read. You have Jamie who is the owner, trainer and veterinarian for Woof Gang Kennels. A company that trains service dogs for those who have PTSD and for the police force. She's smart, attractive and has wounds that haven't healed for three years since her husband died. Nick is a DEA agent in Austin, TX who's rugged, a smartass and a bit of a loner. His work tactics (though effective) had lead him into some hot water with his superior and in the end to getting a new partner [...]

    26. Loving this spin-off from Denver, where our first hero is Nick Archer, who we met briefly in DEEP NIGHT. After taking down a kid for drugs, that really wasn't what he thought it was, he's pulled aside and told that he needs to settle down, find a new partner. Nick is a solitary guy, something that shines time and again throughout the story, so he's less than thrilled -- even more so when he's told his new partner will be of the canine variety. In the smallest of worlds we live in, the woman he's [...]

    27. ARC provided by publisher in exchange for honest review. Thank you. After Love is the first book of the Austin Heroes series.Nick is an undercover DEA agent who just can’t seem to follow the rules or get the job done the right way. Nick’s boss has had it with his antics and thinks it would be a great idea to knock him down a few pegs after an embarrassing arrest was made.Nick is sent to meet with Jamie Chambers, dog trainer extraordinaire and widow. Jamie and Nick’s chemistry is immediate w [...]

    28. thebookisonmytableI was given a ARC in exchange of a honest review.Nick Archer is a DEA agent and a former marine. He´s a loner, so his boss send him to Woof Gang, so Nick can choose his new partner. And there he meets Harley, his new k-9 partner and Jamie, Harley´s stunning trainer.Mostly told in Nick´s POV this was a lovely story about second chances love and his new found love for his partner.I loved the connection between Nick and Harley, they lovely together. In the chapter told in Harle [...]

    29. After Love is the first book in Kathy Clark’s new series, Austin Heroes. We met the hero in Deep Night, the last of her Denver Heroes series. I wasn’t quite sure what to think of him then and, unfortunately, this book didn’t really help. I like the “tortured hero/maverick” concept, within limits, but Nick seemed to push those boundaries. Based on his preference for unorthodox investigation techniques, I was surprised he hadn’t been fired from his position – or riding a desk in the [...]

    30. If you love dogs and sassy marijuana smoking grandma you will like this one. Nate is an ex-Marine turned DEA agent, who seems to find himself in trouble a lot. His boss has had it with him and thinks it’s time for a new partner. One, who is loyal, obeys your every command and will follow you anywhere. A new partner in the form of a dog, named Harley. Jamie is the owner and head trainer at the Woof Gang Kennels. Although it was a little hard to warm up to them at first, Nick and Jamie made a go [...]
