    1. I received this book from Netgalley for my honest review.Holy cow!!! This woman knows how to write!!!I love, love, love this series! It’s exiting! It’ action-packed! It’s interesting! It’s intelligent! The MCs acts in a logical way!Sometimes, though, I had to stop reading because I wanted to slap Ian, the hero! He was such an idiot! Sometimes only… other times he was an intelligent human being, but I still wanted to slap him for suspecting Cressida continuously!!! The story is complica [...]

    2. I've given this an A for narration and an A- for content at AudioGals, which is nearer 5 stars than 4.5.In this action-packed romantic thriller, the fifth in Rachel Grant’s Evidence series, marine archaeologist Cressida Porter travels to South Eastern Turkey (near the borders with Syria, Iraq and Iran) in order to reconnoitre a possible excavation site as a subject for her thesis, only to end up on the run from a dangerous terrorist network with an American covert operative who may or may not [...]

    3. This really is the must read romantic suspense series for intelligent and sexy heroes and heroines!Cressida is a grad student in the Middle East to research a prospective find of the century and Ian is a undercover CIA operative who has to retrieve a USB port that identifies terrorists and a money trail. Both have extreme trust issues that have to be solved as they work together to survive a double cross from within the CIA. Fast paced action is always involved in Ms. Grants books as well paced [...]

    4. ARC Review, 4.5 starsThere have been some fantastic releases in the last month, this is one of my favorites. It’s no secret that I am a fan of Rachel Grant’s work. I love her complex stories, her technical expertise, and her scorchingly hot romance scenes. Covert Evidence highlights all of her strengths as a writer and is one of my favorites in the Evidence series to date. Cressida has to work for everything she has. She has worked hard to earn the respect of her colleagues in her chosen fie [...]

    5. Covert Evidence (Evidence #5) by Rachel Grant ( Author), is an action packed, romantic suspense story with lots of twists and turns that will keep the reader on the edge of their seat. For Cressida what started out as a research trip to Turkey to gather info for her dissertation, turns into a nightmare. Colliding with the “target” of his mission, CIA operative, Ian Boyd, finds himself in deep trouble, his mission isn’t progressing as it should have, and his heart gets tangled in the mess as [...]

    6. Well, I didn't see that one coming! Rachel Grant does it again. She's done it again and again and again in the Evidence series. I'm not going to say that this was my favorite of the series because I can say that about each one of the books as I read them. This is an all around great series! They are each stand alone, but the characters weave in and out of each one of the books. It helps to start at the beginning because of this, but it isn't essential. Cressida is a grad student in archeology. S [...]

    7. This series has taken readers to all sorts of places with the most fascinating stories full of suspense and romance. This go round we’re in Turkey and its not long before we are shot out of the gate on another thrilling ride that involves a terrorist organization and good and bad CIA agents. I have to say I think the CIA is the shadiest bunch of people – at least how they are portrayed in books and movies. Its rare they are shown in a good light. I often wonder why that is. Anyhow, when the [...]

    8. 4.25 Stars. Another Excellent Evidence Read:) You just can't miss with an Evidence book by Rachel Grant! I have read them all and enjoyed them fully. Cressida and Ian are typical of her strong, passionate couples. I was swept away on their convoluted journey and the dangers they faced. This is romantic suspense at its best:)

    9. I enjoyed, but not as much as the previous book. I didn't like how their relationship played out. But a fun setting - review coming

    10. ARC provided by the Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.Archeology, Middle Eastern terrorists, the CIA - Secret Agent Man (SAM), and a Sweet Young Thing (SYT). This book is packed with intrigue, twisted plots and "how the hell did I get myself into this mess". This is a timely plot and will appeal to more that us romantic-suspense genre readers. I think the "guy" thriller genre will also enjoy it. I have thoroughly loved every Rachel Grant book I have read and she does not d [...]

    11. A must read, a must read, a must read! If you like romantic suspense and action this book, this series, is for you. I am reviewing this ARC from Net Galley and as soon as I finished this book (my second in this series) I purchased the ones I don't already have before leaving this review. (There is a special on this series, or the first 3 in a set on until June 8 for .99). I requested this one as soon as I saw it become available because I wanted to see if the author could write another as good [...]

    12. 4.5 Stars!!I'm now to the point if I see a book with Ms Grant's named attached, I will buy it. I just bought a novella called Midnight Sun and I respect her writing so much that I bought a series she rated very highly on !!What I liked: Ms Grant doesn't take a chapter or two to get you hooked. In Covert Evidence, the action starts right away and it does not let up. I don't start reading a Rachel Grant book too late at night or I wouldn't sleep. When reading a romantic suspense novel, I expect con [...]

    13. Rachel Grant’s “Evidence Series” continues to enthrall the readers with its intensity, excitement and power play of politics across continents. Book five of the series, “Covert Evidence” takes the unsuspecting underwater archeologist Cressida Porter into a world of danger, terrorism and death that has her running for her life. And covert CIA operative is hot on her trail, as she becomes the suspect of carrying evidence that may prove disastrous to a lot of super rich people in various [...]

    14. Rachel Grant’s COVERT EVIDENCE story starts with great momentum involving her readers immediately in the action as events unfold. Her female protagonist, Cressida Porter, an underwater archaeologist is working in Eastern Anatolia, Turkey. Cressida’s back story shares details of her quest to follow up on a promising lead to find an ancient site in southeastern Turkey. Grant gives readers insight to Cressida’s work as an underwater archaeologist and the part her discoveries play in her thril [...]

    15. Cressida Porter is desperate for validation, both personally and professionally, and it's her glaring insecurities that has put her in a perfect position to be used as an unwitting courier in a much larger terrorist plot and in the crosshairs of Ian Boyd, a CIA case officer whose job is to intercept the microchip that Cress is carrying. There's distrust all around and the lies they've told each other start Ian and Cress on the wrong foot for quite a while. The mystery here is a twisty, winding r [...]

    16. Covert Evidence was Fantastic, and exciting book as all of Rachel Grant's books are in the Evidence Series: Cressida Porter was trying to obtain information for her underground archeological project in the middle of Eastern Turkey, while she awaits the man who will help her with translationsher old boyfriend shows upThat's starts trouble, but someone comes to her rescuee man who she's waiting forOnly someone is holding her back to stop the fightShe turns around and he's goneThe excitement has ju [...]

    17. Exotic places, memorable characters, riveting action and suspenseful danger are all trademarks of Rachel Grant’s Evidence Series. Covert Evidence, book 5, excels in all of these areas. Academia and political intrigue, with events that could be easily in today’s news head up this archeological thriller. I do so enjoy that the Indiana Jones of Rachel Grant’s books are intelligent, and determined. In Cressida Porter’s case, as CA operative, Ian, points out “a squeaky-clean innocent grad s [...]

    18. This book is the fifth in a series. While it can be read as a standalone, it certainly makes more sense of you have read the other books in the series. The whole series is great, so you might as well start from the beginning. The series is a blend of archeology and suspense. Cressida is an underwater archeologist working on her dissertation. She has a theory which has her looking for undiscovered tunnels in terrorist controlled countries. She believes herself safe until she discovers the transla [...]

    19. OK, so let me say this right off. You don't necessarily need to have read the previous books to dive right in to this one, but I recommend that you do. Why? Well. a) because you're just missing out otherwise and b) because there are some characters in here who feature in the previous books, and it will aid your understanding of the relationships and companies referred to in this book.So. What do you look for in a good book? A strong heroine? A sexy alpha male? A tense, thrilling storyline? Well. [...]

    20. This review originally appeared on Heroes and Heartbreakers:heroesandheartbreakersCovert Evidence by Rachel Grant. Rachel Grant is my new measuring stick for romantic suspense. Her heroes and heroines are incredibly well-matched in intelligence, honor, quirkiness, vulnerabilities, and character. It’s so refreshing to have that level playing field. Her training as a scientist (archaeologist) is evident throughout her plots, and the scientific details peppered throughout makes the stories so sma [...]

    21. I loved this book - it grabbed me from the very first page. An archeology student working on her PhD is thrown into the middle of a terrorist plot. She thinks she is simply meeting with a translator while in the middle east working on her research project. Unfortunately, the translator had a different idea. A CIA operative, Ian, tries to learn her secrets while preserving his mission. While he is attracted to Cressida, she can never be more than part of his mission. This is an intelligent and fas [...]

    22. To sum it up I adored this book. It had a terrific story set with modern day issues, an amazaballs suspense & a hot terrific H/h. I loved the unique storyline and all the secondary characters. The mystery and intrigue will have you staying up reading well into the night. I'm a romance/heat girl at heart and this had it but the story itself was so good instead of the Romance, sexiness being first for me, the story was. This was my first time reading this author and it will not be my last. She [...]

    23. I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.I think that I have loved everything Rachel Grant has ever written and I'm always waiting (impatiently) for her next book to come out. This book is certainly no different. I love that we keep adding great characters to the ensemble cast with each book. Ian is stubborn but redeemable and Cressida is just the person to "save" him. If you have enjoyed Rachel Grant's other books, you will love this one. Even if you just enjoy a good w [...]

    24. Rachel Grant sets her books in the most interesting settings. I have learn so much from her stories and that's outside of the characters' interactions! I find myself looking up places, organizations and facts with most of her books. But most of all, I love the stories she has to tell. The romance within the tale flows easily and naturally with the drama and suspense of the book's theme. She is a must-read for me. I don't think she can write a bad book!

    25. This book had everything I love in a romantic suspense: intrigue, adventure, betrayal, romance. The best part was the really hot spy and nerd. A really excellent read. Will definitely recommend this book. ARC was provided by NetGalley for an honest review.

    26. More EvidenceThis book is just as great as the other books in the series. Excellent characters and well developed dialogue letting your audience meet them.
