    1. Lots of action and suspense keep the characters on the move throughout the story. I raced through the book right beside them and enjoyed every moment.I loved the character of Jade in the first book, Awakened, but found her even more intriguing in this sequel. The author does an excellent job of relaying information from the first book without dumping it on us to help us remember what has gone before.
