Born in NYC in 1980 Jonas Ullmann became a fully fledged addition to the UK Drum and Bass scene with his first, well-received releases on Dsci4 around the turn of the millennium.

Before long a move to London to attend a sound engineering degree at SAE, concentrate on a burgeoning DJ career and putting together tunes with Vegas and Maldindi of Bad Company became the modus operandi.

Originally turned on to the sounds of drum and bass through Grooverider's The Prototype Years in
the mid-90’s, viewing it as pre-cursory to the tech influenced, kick heavy drum and bass sound of today,

Uman has since been behind a slew of releases across the board, notably on Trace`s DCCi4 label, Viper and Bad Taste, and also working under the Task Horizon pseudonym before going on to form a live act, The Passive Resistance alongside Tim Steiner.
