Welcome back to the Unique Artists newsletter!

It's an exciting time in Drum & Bass, with the likes of Pendulum and Chase & Status opening the door to a whole new audience to come and explore what's on offer in the underground. Our very own J Majik & Wickaman find themselves on the Radio 1 playlist once again this month, and at the other end of the spectrum Vrius, C4C and Bad Taste have new releases coming thick and fast. Have a read to see what everyone's up to, and you'll find booking info for all the Unique Artists at the bottom of the newsletter.

J MAJIK & WICKAMAN RETURN

J Majik is a true soldier of the drum and bass scene, with a discography dating back to 1992. His debut Metalheadz release came in 1994 and he hasn't looked back since. One of the few artists out there who can constantly reinvent his sound, over the year's he's been responsible for countless anthems including Spaced Invader, Metrosound (with Adam F), Love is Not a Game and most recently Crazy World with production partner Wickaman.

Wickaman and J Majik have proven themselves to be a formidable production outfit. With a new album in the pipleine the duo look set to eclipse the massive success of last years colab with Kathy Brown if new single 'Feel About You' is anything to go by. The video for this huge track is online now - click here - and features cameos from a whole host of the DnB elite - see if you can spot them. The tracks also just been playlisted on BBC Radio 1 - big things in store from this duo!

Keep your eyes peeled for the new album in 2010!

Jonas Ullmann aka Uman is a name that some people may not be familiar with, that doesn't however mean that your not already be familar with his music! With releases on DSCi4 and Sudden Def Recordings as part of Task Horizon alongside production partner Aaron von Schroeder, Uman has been supplying quality beats since 2004. Away from D&B Uman is also part of the award winning project 'The Passive Resistance' (M for Music award - Best Electronic Act).

Since 2008 however Uman has been going it alone and he's not been doing badly either! With releases under his belt on Viper and Timeless as a solo artist already, Uman is now part of Blokhe4d, an exciting new project coming in 2010. With a whole host of exciting tracks forthcoming on Bad Taste Recordings and the legendary Hospital Records expect to be hearing a lot more from the Uman!

As one of the newest additions to the Unique family we thought it was about time he got a full length podcast to showcase his skills, as well as some excluisve new material - don't sleep on it, get downloading!

SIgma have been keeping busy after their DNBA award win earlier this year, and this hard work is definately paying off for the UK based duo.

They have just updated their Life Recordings website with a FREE MP3 download to say thanks to everyone for their support in 2009. 'Positive Vibes' had massive support from DJ Hype and Andy C amongst others and you can grab it here for nothing! Also finding its way out of their studio this month is their remix of 'Mclean - Broken Is' which is out on Atlantic on 9th November. This track has had big Radio 1 support from Trevor Nelson, Fabio, Mistajam and loads more.

They've also been hitting the road and playing at some of the biggest events round the globe, including the legendary WestFest - click here to see them in action. And if you want more, their brand new podcast is now available to download from iTunes too - click here!

THE GHOST OF DSC14

Ok so Christmas might still be a the best part of two months away, and the Christmas raving is the last thing on your mind, but when we saw what festive celebrations DJ Trace had lined we thought we'd let you knonw nice and early!

Touching down at the Ghost nightlcub in central London Trace has pulled together an absolutly massive line up for Friday 11th December. Including the mouth watering prospect of Trace and Optical going back to back and digging through the archives with a 1998 - 2002 set, this night is sure to be packed to the rafters, espcially as it's all for only £5 on the door!

To all of you who are outside of London we'll have a word with Trace and see if we can grab recordings of a couple of the sets from the night and share them with you over the festive period!
